[ugh, she's back. sudden disgruntled flashbacks to that ill-fated date auction are a go.]

Time compression does have a remarkable penchant for interrupting vital activities and indulging in delicious irony for a supposedly non-sentient phenomena. There's not much to be done about it beyond a futile fist shake heavenward every now and then.
