Uhm, hello? Is this Garden I am talking to? The other students? I hope so, because I just arrived and I want to introduce myself before I start my classes. That's how it works...right? My name is Thumbelina, and I've never seen so many little people in my entire life! Where do you all come from? Are there little people villages and homes farther away? Do you know any fairies? I have so many questions I would like to have answered. If that's not too much trouble! I mean...you don't have to answer them, but maybe there's something in the library I could read?

Little People? I can't say I've met anyone terribly small, besides children. We didn't have fairies back home either. At least that I know of. But we have people from all kinds of places and times here, so you might meet some here at the Garden.

I was named after Yunalesca, but it could also mean "moon," I'm not really sure. Have you ever been to Spira?

No, Spira is the world I'm from. But...since there's so many different worlds, maybe they're near each other after all!

What do you mean by 'little people'? Are they the fairies you talk about?

What's Spira like?

Merlin... I think I heard of you before! Well, maybe, but little people are...well, little!

Well, it's a pretty big place. There are lots of islands and then there's a big continent where most people live. There aren't a lot of large cities, but that's going to change soon, I think.

Can you tell me about France? Is that the name of your world?

I like it!

Well, yes and no. Some of the classes are compulsory, which means everyone has to take them at some point. Others it depends what you want to specialize in, I guess is the best way to put it? But there are classes at different times to work around people's different time tables. I'll need to work my own new one soon when classes start up again myself.

Islands! I read about those. They are surrounded by water, aren't they? I've only seen pictures, so I don't really know much about them. Oh! Well, I've never really ventured past my mother's house, but from what she's told me and shown me with books and paintings, France is beautiful. The sunsets are very warm, and the countryside is so pretty, especially just after a fresh rain. The dew on the leaves and the twigs make everything glisten.

Well, I think once you sort out your first time table it's not so bad? Just keep in mind the limits to how many compulsory and elective classes you can take.

I don't really remember. I think maybe it was from one of Mother's books? But maybe it's just a common name and I'm being silly. What are dwarves?

Oh wow! It all sounds like a lot of work, but worth the efforts. I've always wanted to learn different kinds of dances and being able to cook would mean I can help Mother more around the kitchen back home.

It is! I've already learnt so much. I'm not sure if there is a dancing class but I know there is one for cooking as an elective.

Dwarves are...people that are smaller than normal people. Although I've never actually met one.
