{BBS; 007 Frying Pans}

So it's Valentine's today. I don't know who gave me some of my gifts, but I just wanted to thank everyone, the Headmaster, Merlin and Damian. And that I hope everyone likes their gifts and has a great day. Because, it's a day for love in all it's forms, right? Friends too, not just....love love. It's new to me since I've never had 'Valentines' before but I'm sure everyone can appreciate a day for celebrating the people we're close to.

Right! But, I mean, I still appreciate them all. I never really had gifts besides my birthday until now, really.

Did you like the roses, Blondie?

Yes! I loved all my gifts. Though some I am not sure who gave them to me.

Wellllll I'm going to leave that up to you. But I got you something else.

Something else?

Something for the girl I love. That's you, in case you wonder.

I thought it was just what arrived this morning. There's more?

There's more.

Okay. I'll be back soon to see it.

[And it doesn't take long for her to log out from the BBS and head back to their shared room. It's exciting, a present from Eugene. She got small gifts for her birthday with Gothel but this was somehow more special than that. Rapunzel opens the door and steps in, tucking some hair behind her ear as she looks around for him initially. It's all she can take not to burst right now and jump on the spot she is so excited and curious.]

[Eugene hides behind the door, not too close, and awaits her arrival. Once she steps into the room, he ducks forward, sweeping the girl into his arms and hugging her so very close.]

Happy Valentines Day!

[Rapunzel frowns when she doesn't initially see him, wondering what was going on when he suddenly appears and grabs her. She yelps in surprise but stiffles it into giggles as she relaxes and returns the hug.]

Happy Valentines, Eugene.

[Eugene wants to keep holding Rapunzel like this forever and ever, but there are things to do.] Your very first Valentines Day. [He lets her go, but keeps an arm around her waist.] Hey, where's Pascal?

Here, of course. [She laughs, Pascal peeking out from her hair at her shoulder when Eugene mentions his name.] But I've never had a holiday like this one back home before.

[Eugene scoops Pascal up.] If you're good, I've got an extra box of chocolates just for you. [He then turns his attention back to Rapunzel.] Better get used to the fanfare, Blondie, because I plan to shower you with roses and gifts on more than just this occasion.

I only ever got special gifts for my birthday back home. I didn't know there were so many holidays. I'll have to learn about them so I can do things for you too.

That'll be something to see!

[He chuckles, placing Pascal atop Rapunzel's head.]

So, I made you a Valentine.

How can you 'make' a Valentine? I thought Valentines was the holiday, right?

It's a holiday and a gift.

Oh! Right.

Yea. So. [He goes to his bed, bends down and pulls a box from under the cot. He then rises and returns to Rapunzel.] Here you are!

[A blink, but she's excited, taking the box and opening it, wanting to see it before she gives him the painting she did.]

[It's a purple pillow, handmade. The fabric is soft silk that Eugene had taken from the sewing room, with a big, embroidered heart on the very front, the color red. And on that red heart is an embroidered, yellow Corona sun.]

Eugene...it's beautiful. This must have taken ages. [She puts the pillow on the bed before reaching to him for a hug. She'd never known he could sew, and perhaps it isn't anything big or fancy but it's the thought that counts and she can tell he put a lot of work into it.]

I have something for you too, actually!

Not that long, actually... [Tons of bruises fingers, though. Ouch.]

Oh really? You didn't have to do that, Blondie.

Well, I heard Valentines was a day to give gifts to people, and I worked on it some afternoons in the art room....

[And she gets her painting from the wardrobe for him, wrapped up as she gives it to him, looking perhaps a little smug and nervous at the same time.]

[Eugene notes her smug expression and takes the gift given to him. He's a little surprised, and honestly touched that Rapunzel had made something for him.]

What is it? [He smiles, and gives the gift a light shake.] Candy?

No. All that was delivered earlier this morning, silly! [He's...shaking it? Why? But Rapunzel will wait and kneel in front of him waiting for him to open it excitedly.]

[He's doing this purely for Rapunzel's benefit. A little teasing can make the anticipation that much better.] Is it a book? [He gives it another little shake, grinning ruefully.]

Nope. [Shaking her head, amused at his guesses as Pascal peeks from her shoulder, curious himself to see how long Eugene will take.]

Well if it's not candy and it's not a book, then that means... [Okay. NOW he's just doing this for fun.]

That it is something else? Yes. It is. [Tease. But it shouldn't be too hard to guess given Rapunzel's paintings all over their walls as it is.]

Well, if it's something else, then I'll just have to open it, won't I? [Now they're both playing the teasing game.] But. [He puts her gift behind his back, grinning like a tom cat.] There's something I want from you before I open it.

Something you want? [Blink, curious. But, if doing something for him means he will open the present she is okay with this, shifting slightly.] What did you want?

[He puts his forehead against hers.] A kiss from my fair maiden.

[Well, Rapunzel is not one for with-holding her feelings or affection. She gives a small smile as he leans forward, pressing her lips to his. Pascal knows this is something like bribery but he seems more okay with this than Gothel's at least.]

[Eugene kisses back lightly. Then after a minute passes, he pulls back, eyes opening, smiling.] Okay. Request followed. Payment made. [He pulls the gift from behind his back and holds it before Rapunzel.] Time for my part of the bargain.

[He carefully removes the paper surrounding the gift. He sees dried paint, and already can tell just what it is, but he saves his surprised look for when he has completely removed the outer shell of wrappings, and the painting is fully revealed.]

Yeow! Look at this!

[His face is lit up like a Christmas tree.]

[She gives a giggle as he pulls back, watching as he opens the present expectantly, leaning forward.]

You like it?

Like it? Like it?

[He pulls her into his arms.]

I love it! Look! You even got my nose right!

Ah! [She laughs, wrapping her arms around him as he pulls her to him.]

I tried? Though is your nose really that big a deal?

[Eugene nuzzles the size of Rapunzel's head.]

It is if someone wants to distinguish me from all the other Flynns out there. But I guess I can admit to you that it is what marks me as Eugene Fitzherbert. No one but me has a nose like this.

[Rapunzel just laughs, shaking her head.]

I don't think your nose was too hard to draw. I like it. [It's different from hers and Gothel's anyway.]
