[You know, after living in a castle of white halls that tend to morph due to the memories in your heart for almost a month of existence, one would think that he'd be used to suddenly finding himself somewhere else. Sadly, this is not the case and suddenly being enrolled in a military academy designed to create mercenaries? Yes, that certainly is something new to him.

He's currently in the library, trying to make sense of any particular bit of information on this he can get his hands on... rereading the letter he'd received upon his arrival. Time Compression? ...SeeD?

"Mr. Riku's" head was beginning to throb, and with his bitter acceptance that he's good as dead - at least back home - otherwise... Sigh. Parking himself at one of the computers. May as well use the ID and password to try and find some answers to this mess.]

Maybe I shouldn't be so surprised by this, and while suddenly getting dragged here by "Time Compression" or whatever may have come in handy...

What exactly did I get myself into this time, I wonder.

[... Okay, this is weird. Either that's Data Riku, or there's another doppelganger around.

Well, whatever the case, he's going to cautiously approach the copy.]

[Lea waves as soon as he spots a familiar silver-haired kid in the library. Hey, it's Riku! ...One of the Rikus. Okay, he still can't tell them apart, but they all have the same name so it's not like it matters. Right?]

Hi, Riku!

[It's a Riku-face reunion, sponsored by Time Compression™! Either way, he can smell someone behind him - not too surprising, given it's a library, but when he looks up to see just who it is-]

[Okay, the real thing he could just barely remember did NOT have this much Light in his heart the last time he checked. He would know. He was made based off said Light/Darkness ratio and data. So don't mind him, staring for a brief second- /processing...|]

...What do you want. [Yep, definitely the latter there, Riku.]

[Oh, it definitely matters. At least to this particular copy. It's almost automatic in his reply-]

[-when he turned to see who it was.]

[Oh. ... Oh.

[Aaaand he's back to glaring. B-Bitty Axel. What is this-?] -ku, just some pet project. ... What do you want?

[Sorry man, you inherited the animosity he has for the future!you.]

[Leaning in and ignoring that glare, because seriously, what crawled into your underwear and died this morning? Geez. He's trying to poke not!Riku in the shoulder.]

You sure look like him. Man, I'm never gonna keep this straight. So what's your name?

[He crosses his arms, looking at the replica with a stern expression.]

And you look like someone I know. Your point?

[Technically? He almost did, but eh. Whatever. ... Your hand, it is too close and is going to get smacked away.]

[That's horrifying enough that he's not even gonna try to get back at you for smacking him. He's just staring.]

[The stern look is rather mirrored as he gets to his feet, preferring to be on the same level as this look a like he can just tell isn't his real thing. Was this part of the Time Compression thing that the letter mentioned?]

What do you think. [Considering the letter's being pocketed? That's a definite yes.]

[Yeah, ignoring the question for about five seconds. He's more interested in why you're now staring at him.]

Like I said. "Pet project." They didn't think to come up with a name for their toys.

"He," the first Riku I ran into here. [He shrugs, looking sidelong at the replica. Whatever he's implying - and Lea's not totally sure he gets it - it sounds pretty awful.]

[He should have known that he wouldn't be able to distance himself from - what was more than likely the real thing - his shadow, even here in another world than those miserable white halls. Even so, he'd hoped he'd be able to at least start over. Yet with someone who looked uncannily like Axel and no doubt the real thing lording over him, the chances were looking bleak.]

The Organization. [All you're getting from him, because his memories are still jumbled as hell and it hurts in more ways than one to remember...]

Have you got a problem with him? [He's asking honestly, tone a little uncertain, because he's got the weird feeling this conversation is sliding downhill and he still doesn't even know what they're talking about.

He lets out a breath, planting one hand on his hip and scratching the back of his head with the other.]

...Hey, look, this whole thing started out wrong. Sorry I thought you were somebody else, I'm Lea, nice to meet you.

[That'll fix it, right? Grin!]

You could say that. [Is? He thought it was downhill the moment it started. At least there's a slight incline... there, in the distance. Now if they can just reach it-]

...Nice to meet you. [Not Axel. Close, but... not the one who tricked him in the first place. At least he's calmed down slightly, so long as no flames start to grow around here.]

[Aaaaaawkward. On the other hand, awkward's better than kind-of-hostile. He'll take it!]

So did you just get here, or did I just not run into you till now?

Yeah, new arrival. [It's a miracle he found the library on his own to begin with. Must've been something he picked up in Oblivion...]

[ You know what's a great place to get a book that you need for an assignment? That's right, the Library!

--oh look, one of the younger Rikus. Too frowny for Data-Riku...but he seems pretty confused, and he's reading...is that an acceptance letter?

Still, she approaches, intending to get her friendship on. ]

Riku? [ Safe bet, right? ] What's going on?

[It was kind of doomed when the count inched over one. Not that Lea's met more than two of them yet.

He smiles at not-Riku-whoever-he-is.] So, do you know what kind of classes you wanna take yet? Any questions? I mean, I've only been here a month or so myself, but I've picked up a couple things.

[Not like he knew of that, having just arrived here and all...]

No, not yet. To be honest I'm trying to wrap my mind around everything else before I even look at that. [He pauses-]

...Is there anyone named Sora or Naminé here? [Please, just one familiar face that's at least somewhat friendly...]
