[ She's there in a flash, climbing a tree before he can get there. Using Strider speed isn't hard any more -- it's some sort of intrinsic skill now, and getting tall makes her feel like she can get away from problems.

Also like she might be a ninja.

Jade sits on a tree branch and waits for David, swinging her feet as she watches people go by. She hates talking about stuff. Jade would much rather stick to the tried and true "punch the fuckers and then say sorry later" method. But she couldn't exactly do that with David (not the punching part, she could do that). He was a friend, and at least if she was going to strangle him, she needed to know the reason why. ]
