002 ♥ Action

Chapter 1: The Library

[A smile alights Belle's face, her being thoroughly engrossed in the current book within her hands as she sits at an otherwise unoccupied table in the library. She's appears to be quite far gone within her reading and seemingly unaware of everyone else within the room, let alone near by. It's not hard to imagine that a herd of chocobos could be running about, darting in and out of the shelves, jumping from atop the computers, and she wouldn't bat an eye.

However... as you approach, she speaks up without ever looking up from her book. Her voice is soft, as you're in the library after all, but not as distracted as you'd imagine from the bookworm SeeD.]

The other seats are not in use nor being saved, if you need to get some work done.

Chapter 2: Cafeteria

[It's a strange sight, to those who know Belle, but instead of a book in her hand as she eats, she's going over ... paperwork.

Alright, perhaps not that strange of a sight, but strange enough for the well known bookworm. Of course, even an instructor should take time to go over their lessons and grade work. While she isn't naive enough to think that her students are eager to get their assignments back as soon as possible, or in dire need of homework assignments come Monday, she's focused upon getting these tasks completed and ready. Nothing shall distract her from this chosen course of work!

Except, you, if you'd like. Go for it.]

[ Erik wandered into the library, looking for a certain person he assumed would possibly be puttering around. Unfortunately for him, Charles was nowhere in sight and he was left alone with a young woman preoccupied by the book in front of her, seemingly ignoring him.

Fair enough, he'd ignore her as well. Erik walked by in front of her, pursuing the philosophy books when she spoke up, catching him by surprise. A book in hand, he turned around, surprised by her voice. It wasn't like he was making himself aware to the patrons in the first place. ]

I'm not here for work, but rather leisure.

[ He turns around again, intent on pursuing the shelves when a question strikes him. ]

How is it you've heard my presence? I wasn't aware I created that much noise.

[ That face. It'd been a while since he saw her back in a few classes he had been made to endure. She never once made mention of any abilities though, so he had striked her off a list of people to stay in touch with. But here she was, a telepath of some sort? ]

If you don't mind.

[ Erik took a seat next to her, book in hand. Rather than focusing on it, he racked his brain, trying to think of her name and where he had seen her before. ]

You were a student here, right? I apologize, it's been a while since I've been back at the Garden.

Thanks. It always has been easier to think in here.

[ Aerith smiles gratefully at Belle, then sits down with textbook and papers--someone's trying to figure her lesson plan for the week. ]

[ That was it. Took him long enough when he never forgets a face usually. Well. Faces he deemed worth remembering. ]

I suppose it'd be Professor Lehnsherr now. I was roped into a teaching position out of a sheer need to keep myself moving.

Philosophy and Tactical Strategy. [ He rolls his eyes at that, clearly not pleased in the slightest. ]

[Today's armload selection of books features (still more) notes on Guardian Forces, Para-Magic, a small Shakespeare volume tucked between the thicker textbooks, and-

...Travel guides and history books for Fisherman's Horizon? Apparently, someone is trying to prepare for the trip as much as possible.

It's enough of a selection that she doesn't hesitate to set the books down when a spot is offered at the table, and take a seat.]

"My thanks; I'm eager to get started on today's study session."

I do remember seeing you in here a few times before. [ And there is a curious glance at the book; what does she enjoy reading so much? ]

[Mitsuru gives a grateful nod as she sorts the selection out. Old material to one side, new books on the other, and things that could be classified as 'leisure reading' in the middle. The Shakespeare volume takes up that last space.]

"I had it pointed out that there was some classic literature available here, so I decided to add that and an overview of this new location to the reading list."

[That earns a surprised look, followed by a slightly hesitant,]

"...Yes."

[And after a moment of processing this change in conversation, she also hazards a question of her own.]

"May I ask how you know me?"

Hardly. I just don't prefer pandering to teaching students something they can learn on their own.
