[Conner never thought he'd felt that nervousness that most kids get when entering a new school. He didn't feel it when he had to go to Ilupani, and he didn't feel it when he transferred to Smallville either. But the current situation he was in was slightly different. First off, he was in a world not his own. And there was the fact that he was stuck there with no knowledge of who anyone was. He was totally off his element.

He fiddles with his class list, looking them over. Conner had no idea what most of the compulsory classes were about, but there were other classes that seemed to be similar to the ones on Earth. Like chemistry. He was hoping to avoid that one, but no luck again.]

[Though Damian has come across enough duplicates of himself and others to know better, he totally sees Kon and mistakes him for his roommate.] Are you still looking for a damn closet, Conner?

[Tim was on his way to the computer lab, books and papers in his bag when he saw what looked to be Conner who was not!Kon standing in the hall. Always ready to help a friend (though not knowing why he would need any help right now), his walk became slower as he approached.]

Hey, Conner. Are you okay?

[He was almost relieved to see Damian. Almost. He frowns anyways.] Is that supposed to be a gay joke, brat?

And really, of all the people I could meet in a different world, it had to be you. [Conner can only curse his luck at that point.]

[Bart is walking to his next class when he sees Conner, so he decides to say hi. He makes his way over to him, taking a quick peek at the paper in his hands before standing next to him.]

Hey, Conner! Didn't you already sign up for classes?

Tim! [Conner turns so fast at the sound of that all too familiar voice.]

[He reaches for one of his arms, pulling him into a hug.] Oh man, you have no idea how glad I am to see you.

Bart? Holy crap, Bart, you're here too! [Conner gives Bart a big hug when he notices something. He pulls away, scrutinizing the speedster.]

Uhh, hi? [He's looking at her with a puzzled expression. Conner was pretty sure he'd never met her before, but she seems to be familiar with him.] Uhm, do I know you?

I'd ask if you hit your head, but it's not like that'd do anything.

Wait a minute... [He frowns in concentration.] Kon?!

[Bart doesn't care that he's already been hugged. He's hugging Conner again. A big, enthusiastic, lifting-him-off-the-ground-an-inch-because-he's-heavy hug.]

[He's pulled into a hug so fast that he doesn't have any time to react, standing straight. Conner was, last time he checked, not one to give hugs. Especially after Tim awkwardly hugged him.

Kon? [His name comes out as a whisper as he looks up at him.]

[By now Conner's memorized the Garden layout and where everything is, the classrooms and the dorms, all of that. It's good knowledge to have stored away just in case anything in the future happens. He passes by the directory without glancing in the other dark-haired cadet's direction, his Garden jacket open and his S-shield shirt showing underneath.

Again, there's that odd sensation, the very same one he'd felt when bumping into Superman the other day. It makes him slow to a halt and stare at the ground, trying to pinpoint where it's coming from. Does this mean he'll feel that weird feeling whenever he's in Superman's presence? Wait-- is he--

Conner's head snaps up and he looks first towards the elevator and then to the opposite side where the directory is, tensing. The heartbeat... the dark shade of his hair and the brightness of his eyes...

What in the world is going on here?

Turning to fully face him Conner slowly and cautiously walks forward, not taking his eyes off of the other cadet. This has to be the guy Impulse and Tim were talking about, this has to be--]

Oh? [He was just heading to his classroom, but he recognizes the other quite easily. It would be terrible if he didn't.]

Kon? [Lucky for you, Dick hadn't ran into Conner yet. So he knows it's you right off the bat.] You look really lost right about now.

[He still has no idea that this isn't the current Bart he knows.]

[And she seems to know about Conner's invulnerability. He's not sure how whether to take that as a good sign, so he's cautious.]

I'm really sorry, miss, but I really don't know what you're talking about. [He gives the dumbfounded farm boy look he's seen Kal do millions of times for good measure.]

[Conner turns towards the voice, familiar, but indistinguishable. There he finds another youth who looks so very much like him. Right down to that shirt. He blinks startled.]

Uh, yea...that's me. A-Are you Kon, too? [Conner wasn't too sure how to react, other than the surprise and fascination. This was different from seeing Match, or even Superboy-Prime. A feeling inside him told him so.]
