[This has been a poor start to her day off. Sundays were one of the few, rare, moments where Mitsuru could take her time with waking up. Which, she did enjoy at first. Right up until she stretched and yawned-

Or tried to yawn. That had been when she'd realized that her voice didn't work; almost like all the nerves to it had been cut off, leaving her mute. And then, she was shocked into full wakefulness when she realized that she also couldn't hear or feel Artemisia in the back of her mind.

So, perhaps understandably, Mitsuru is not in the best, or most alert of moods as she steps into the cafeteria for breakfast.]

[ Garden was huge. That was the first thing he noticed. Big, but easy to navigate, something that could be appreciated. But it wasn't the size that really interested him, but what they did with all that space. The second he heard about the "Training Center" Akihiko knew where he had to go, even if it was only his second night.

The halls were growing quieter as the more studious when to study and the tired went to sleep. But Akihiko? He felt like he was ten years old again. Cracking his knuckles, he walked the route he had memorized earlier; green signs, he noted that. A few people were leaving, but he paid them no mind.

Needless to say, he was expecting something more like a gym, something he was used to, but...the scene looked more like it came straight out of an action movie. Tall, metal gates were only hinting at what it had to keep behind them. He could faintly hear the scuffle of wildlife off in the distance, something that definitely wasn't human.

Was this even a good idea...?

He pushed the button that unlocked the door. A gust of air met him in the face. Akihiko blinked, brows furrowing slightly as he stepped through the gateway.

And was met with a weird...plant-like creature, waving its arms in the air wildly.

He cracked his knuckles again.

Oh hell yeah, this was a good idea. ]

[Lost Junpei is lost. The school deal he can handle. The dorms deal he can handle. Even the giant inexplicably floating island-sorta-thing he can handle. But he's not all that great with directions, and he's pretty sure he's been past this corridor about six times already. He doesn't want to ask the creepy guys in robes with turkey platters over their faces--they don't look very hospitable--but he's starting to wonder if he's ever going to find his dorm room. A217... A217...

These books are getting heavy. He really wishes he had his stupid purple backpack right about now.

Hefting the books, Junpei turns down yet ANOTHER corridor, hoping perhaps to find a big helpful YOU ARE HERE sign.]

[Perhaps he'll find [Bad username or site: witchesreign title=you @ livejournal.com] instead? 8D]

[She'd told Tina that it would only take her fifteen minutes, and Mitsuru intends to be good on her word. Eight minutes to get to her dorm, organize her notes back into the filing system she's managed to set up, and locate her equipment. It takes another two minutes to make sure that her sword and Evoker are both easily around her waist, but once she reaches the ten minute mark, Mitsuru is satisfied with both the state of her room and her preparations.

With that done, it's a fast walk back out of the dorms, and towards the training center. Mitsuru is frowning a little as she steps into the corridor leading to the meeting area, though; by her count, she's at least two minutes off. Not a good start to this.]

[Alice hadn't been in Balamb for too long, only long enough to gather her bearings and learn exactly what had occurred. She was given a dorm room, and a class list, and even a uniform--one, mind you, that she didn't much care for--then was sent on her way. She eventually found herself in the cafeteria, it was early morning so there weren't too many students, and it wasn't too hard for her to find a place to sit.

She didn't bother getting in line for food, her appetite had been extinguished, so instead she opens a leather bound book and begins to read, though occasionally she'll lift her head up and glance around the room, almost as if looking for someone.]

If you're taking up DEF 101, I suggest you don't get your instructor in the face.

Apparently they hate that kind of thing.

[Why is she announcing this? ... Because apparently she finds not hitting people in the face ridiculous. It's self defense, you should get them where it hurts! And now she wonders if these people haven't heard of the nose-nuts-and-guts treatment.]

[ To anyone who knew her, they'd be surprised to find a certain green-haired witch standing within the areas of the Training Center, looking around. After being in the Garden and taking its classes for about two weeks now, C.C. finds it time to at least test out what she now knows of this world's mechanics.

[ Though her eyes are narrowed in what seem like lazy boredom, she is alert to the sounds and details of the Training Center. From what she heard, the monsters - actual monsters, she notes - in the Training Center were moderately dangerous if one went in not knowing what they were doing, with the rare chance an even bigger threat lurking around. She stops at the area where small islands were connected to each other by planks as makeshift bridges and glances about the area. ]

Nothing so far. Hm. And I was hoping to test out these "Guardian Forces" I obtained...

[ In the distance, she hears a roar, but it's a faint sound and nothing immediately came from it, not even seconds after she heard it. Shrugging, C.C. moves on, hoping to find something to fit what this place's name is for. ]

[It's quiet as night falls on Balamb Garden, quiet enough to hear the crickets chirping on the ground below and the sea waves lapping the shore in the distance. The sky is clear and full of stars. The halls of Garden are empty except for a couple cadets here and there -- indeed, even the faculty seems to be missing from their usual posts.

At exactly 2100, as soon as the dinner rush ends, the Garden chime sounds and the intercom clicks on. Once again, the Headmaster speaks to the Garden.

The Welcoming Ball is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom.

I repeat, the Welcoming Ball is now beginning. Your attendance is requested at [2F] Ballroom. The ball will run until 2400. Students leaving the ball after curfew are to return to their dorms immediately.

The ball and its festivities tonight are being sponsored very generously by the Ruby group.

[After the announcement, the intercom falls silent. The faint sound of music can be heard from the second floor of the building.]

[Akihiko's spent every moment of spare time in Garden's library, pouring through the books in the hopes of finding more information than the simple "it's Time Compression!" he'd been hearing from the world's residents.

He can't accept it, the idea that his home and his mission are so incredibly far away. So he keeps looking. Feel free to try and get him away from this hopeless endeavor.]
